South Carolina Dominates ANNIKA Intercollegiate, Johnson of Ole Miss Wins Individual Title

Lake Elmo, Minn. - The ANNIKA Intercollegiate presented by 3M concluded Wednesday afternoon with South Carolina taking home the 2021 title in dominating fashion.
The Gamecocks finished the 54-hole event at 14-under par, with Duke finishing second, seven shots back (-7) and Wake Forest in third at 5-under. South Carolina was paced by freshman Hannah Darling who finished second in the individual competition (66-73-66--205). In her first collegiate event, Darling led the field with 17 birdies over the three day event.
Individually, Julia Johnson of Ole Miss claimed the title after shooting a 12-under 204
(67-67-70). Johnson led the pack in par-5 scoring average (4.33) and was third in par-4 scoring (3.87). In a battle to the finish, South Carolina’s Darling ended one shot back at 11-under in second place. Cindy Kou of USC finished in third place at 8-under par (68-73-67--208).
As with all Foundation initiatives, Annika was on-site taking in the final round action.
