This week, the best women in golf are showcasing their talents in France at Evian Resort for the Evian Championship with 50 ANNIKA alumnae represented in the field.
Top-ranked players Nelly Korda, Lilia Vu, Ruoning Yin, and Allisen Corpuz headline the ANNIKA alum competing in France. Korda has collected six top-10 finishes this season and holds the No. 2 spot in Rolex Rankings. No. 4 ranked Lilia Vu has had an impressive season with two wins at the Honda LPGA Thailand and The Chevron Championship, her first major victory. Yin, ranked No. 5, earned the title of being the second women’s major championship winner from China after hoisting the trophy at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. Lastly, No. 6 ranked Allisen Corpuz has been on a hot streak after gaining her first LPGA and major win at the U.S. Women’s Open and secured second in the Dana Open just a few weeks ago.
The ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel will be well represented by two-time award winners Rose Zhang (2022 & 2023) and Leona Maguire (2015 & 2017), along with 2014 award winner, Alison Lee. Zhang, claimed her second consecutive NCAA Individual title in May and shortly after, clinched her first LPGA Tour victory at the Mizuho Americas Open in her pro debut. Ten past ANNIKA Champions will join the mix this week, headlined by 2022 Women’s Amateur Latin America champion, Valentina Rossi, who received an exemption from her win in Argentina.
