Diamond Resorts ANNIKA Invitational Presented by Rolex Returns to World Golf Village


More Than 70 of the World’s Best Female Junior Golfers Scheduled to Compete


(ORLANDO, Fla.) The ANNIKA Foundation will kick off its 2021 tournament schedule with the Diamond Resorts ANNIKA Invitational presented by Rolex at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Florida, January 15-18.


For the 13th consecutive year, girls ages 12 to 19 from around the world are scheduled to play in the 54-hole, stroke-play event. Competitors will vie for coveted points in the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR) and Rolex AJGA Rankings.


While many international players are unable to travel due to the pandemic, nine countries are represented in the field: the United States, Argentina, Canada, China, Chile, South Korea, Mexico, Paraguay and Hong Kong.


The 72-player field includes standouts like Xin (Cindy) Kou (China), the No. 2 ranked player in AJGA Rolex rankings and who finished second in the Rolex Tournament of Champions, Megha Ganne (Holmdel, N.J.), the No. 4-ranked player who finished T3 in last year’s event and Alexa Pano (Lake Worth, Fla.), the No. 7-ranked player who won the 2020 Kathy Whitworth Invitational.


Other notable players include Antonia Matte (Chile), Lynn Lim (Gallatin, Tenn.) and Grace Summerhays (Scottsdale, Ariz.). Full field list here.


Since the inaugural Foundation tournament – the 2009 ANNIKA Invitational USA – 65 ANNIKA event alumnae have earned LPGA cards. Thirty-five alumnae competed in the 2020 ANA Inspiration.
