Chinese Taipei’s Huang Ting-Hsuan steals the lead entering the final round of the ANNIKA Invitational at Mission Hills after firing a bogey-free 8-under-par 64 in round two at Mission Hills Golf Club in Dongguan, China.
Defending champion Nanako Inagaki of Japan sits in solo second and is two shots back of the leader after adding a 6-under-par 66 to her first round 69. The first-round leader, Ruo Ning Yin, is still in the mix and holds the third-place spot after rounds of 67-71, putting her five shots back from the leader ahead of the final round.
After Thursday’s round, the competitors and guests were treated to a clinic by Annika where she shared golf tips and advice with the players to further help them with their careers.
As part of the “More Than Golf” portion of the tournament, the girls enjoyed a gala dinner followed by a talent show where they were able to showcase their skills outside of golf.
Tomorrow’s concluding round should be one for the books. Two professional exemptions are on the line including spots in the EFG Hong Kong Ladies Open and CLPGA’s Zhangjiagang Shuangshan Challenge. In addition, invitations into the 2019 ANNIKA Invitational USA presented by Rolex are up for grabs as well as WAGR and CGA ranking points.
Final-round tee times will begin at 8 a.m. on Friday off the Nos. 1 and 10 tees on the Annika Course at Mission Hills Golf Club and will be followed by the Awards Ceremony on the 18th green.
