Georgia Southern University takes home the team and individual title at the inaugural More Than Golf Invitational presented by Bank of America

Georgia Southern (E) goes wire-to-wire to win the inaugural More Than Golf Invitational presented by Bank of America. Freshman, Mary Miller secures the individual title with a tournament total of 5-under-par 214, marking her first collegiate win.

Miller held a one stroke lead heading into the final round. She cruised through the front nine, finding her first birdie of the day on the par-4 No. 8. After making the turn, things started to get rocky when she went bogey-bogey on Nos. 12 and 13. Miller did not let this shake her focus and followed up with an additional birdie on No. 16. She closed out her round at 1-over-par to claim the individual title.

Following behind her teammate, Louise Reau shot a 4-under-par 69 during the final round to help bring her team to victory. Reau, starting on No. 3 and had a flawless front nine with two birdies. Things took a slight turn with a sole double bogey on the par-3 No. 11 but Reau quickly regained her momentum with a birdie on the next hole. The sophomore went birdie-birdie-eagle and carded one bogey to finish solo third place.

The Eagles led every round of the More Than Golf Invitational presented by Bank of America with scores of 294 - 290 - 292.

Miller's win grants her the opportunity for three complimentary entries into the 2025 ANNIKA Women’s All Pro Tour.

"It's really special, it's a great opportunity to win," say Miller. "That opens up a pathway into the future. Not all tournaments have that stipulation that comes with winning, so it means a lot. I think it will really propel me forward in my golf career."

The inaugural More Than Golf Invitational presented by Bank of America is set to take place at Old Barnwell in Aiken, S.C., March 27-30, 2025. The new women’s golf tournament, co-hosted by Augusta and Columbia universities, offers a memorable golf experience while providing players with the opportunity for life and career development.

The individual medalist in the More Than Golf Invitational will be awarded up to three complimentary entries into the 2025 ANNIKA Women’s All Pro Tour.

The More Than Golf Invitational is about more than just the game of golf. In addition to the competition, this event aims to facilitate networking and mentorship opportunities for the players. The tournament will feature a College-Am and reception for the entire teams and College-Am groups at Old Barnwell on March 27 as well as an Executive Women’s reception and dinner on March 28. This gathering will provide a unique opportunity for more than 20 selected executive women to share life and career advice with the student-athletes.
