The field is set for the second-annual Augusta National Women’s Amateur which will be played April 1-4, ahead of The Masters.
Out of the 72-player field, 61 players have competed in ANNIKA events. They include our most recent champion, Benedetta Moresco of Italy, winner of the ANNIKA Invitational USA presented by Rolex. Five other former ANNIKA Invitational champions are confirmed to participate including Lily May Humphreys of England, Grace Kim of Australia, Ingrid Lindblad of Sweden, Anna Zanusso of Italy and Agustina Zeballos of Argentina.
Other notables are Gina Kim, Ana Belac and Jaravee Boonchant, who all contributed to Duke winning the 2019 NCAA Championship. In addition, New Jersey-native Megha Ganne and Paris Hilinski of California, who both finished T3 at the ANNIKA Invitational USA last month, will make their debut appearances.
Two-time ANNIKA Intercollegiate and ANNIKA Award recipient Maria Fassi finished runner-up in the inaugural event to Jennifer Kupcho. The duo showed sportsmanship, class and competitiveness during the final round. It may be tough to top their battle in this year’s event, but we’re looking forward to seeing what’s possible!
